I’m Christina, and I LOVE making specialty cakes!
All custom cakes are subject to price variations based on your design specifications, and needs.
However, I have created a base price list, as follows, that will allow you to gauge an estimate of your cake costs.
Custom work requires a custom quote. But use this guide as a starting point.
Round Cakes
Round cakes are the most common shaped cakes.
There are 2 ways to cut cakes- 1”x2” slices (typically called ‘wedding’ slices) or 2”x2” slices (typically called ‘party’ slices). Sizing and pricing is based on ‘wedding’ slices. Just know you can get bigger cuts, but you’ll get about half the servings.
This guide is to give you a starting point for pricing your custom cake. Design variations can increase this cost.
Square cakes
Square cakes are priced the same as round cakes.
Take the ‘wedding’ serving size, and multiply by $3. Add $5 per tier.
Square cakes are also 3 layers.
Sheet Cakes
Sheet cakes are a different beast.
These old school style cakes are iconic for their ability to display messaging and images across the top in a way round cakes just can’t.
Sheet cakes are only 2 layers, and are never tiered. However their layers are usually a bit thicker than their round and square counterparts. They are an easy way to serve a large party, and can be decorated in many fun and fancy ways. Believe it or not, they are a bit more difficult to handle than a square or circle cake!
Sheet cakes are $3.25 per serving, but are priced at “party” size cuts.
Letter & Number Cakes
These fancy cakes are very popular- for good reason: they are absolutely gorgeous! My letter and number cakes are approximately 18” tall and 3” wide. They can be open sided, or completely iced. They are always 2 layers. They can be covered in candies and cookies, or just decorated with icing. These cakes start at $22 for a #1, with no candies or cookies. This price will increase for different letters or numbers, but it’s the best place to start. To help give you an idea, a #8 is $51- plus the price of candies and cookies.
Sculpted Cakes
Sculpted and structured cakes are absolutely amazing. And I ADORE making them. I love the variety of mediums I get to use to create something so incredible- and EDIBLE! There’s no way to give a proper estimate of a sculpted cake without knowing the design and size needed. So much goes into these cakes- wood and all-thread structures, cake carving, and detail work… I could only say, expect to pay at least $100 for a small carved cake, and over $500 for a large structured cake such as my dinosaur head here.
